The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the William J. and Jennie E. Bacarella Scholarship to Peggyjune Worrell. The $1,100 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Worrell, of Monroe is a 2002 graduate of Orchard Center High School. She is working toward an associate of applied science degree with a major in accounting at MCCC. Peggyjune is the wife to Andrew Worrell and mother to Anna and Eythan Layton and Abigail and Sophie Worrell.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be majoring in a business-related curriculum, maintain part-time enrollment status of six credit hours or more, and be a resident of Monroe County, Michigan. In addition, the donor prefers non-traditional students and graduates of St. Mary Catholic Central High School.
