The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Susan L. Lingar “A.G.” Memorial Scholarship to Devon Messer. The $1,300 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Messer, of Newport, is a 2018 graduate of Jefferson High School. She will be studying accounting while attending MCCC. Devon is the son of Chiara and Arthur Messer.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be pursuing a degree in the accounting field, must be a graduate of a Monroe County, Michigan, high school or completed a GED, be a Monroe County resident, and a U.S. citizen. Additionally, students must have a 3.0 grade point average or higher, and must maintain part-time enrollment status of at least six credit hours or more.
