THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE RAY AND BETTY KESSLER SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Ray and Betty Kessler Scholarship to Ashlee Metdepenningen. The Kessler Scholarship was established at The Foundation at MCCC by Jefferson High School alumni to honor former longtime principal Ray Kessler. The scholarship will be available to the recipient for up to three years, providing funds are available. The $5,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books, and fees.

Metdepenningen, of Newport, is a 2021 graduate of Jefferson High School. She will be studying nursing while attending MCCC. While attending JHS, Metdepenningen participated in student council, was on the pep-rally committee and was a member of the National Honor Society.  She is the daughter of Michael and Rebekah Metdepenningen.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a United States citizen, attended both their junior and senior years and graduated from Jefferson High School, Monroe, Michigan, and have a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
