The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Noel H. and Elizabeth R. Dentner Scholarship to Breanna Weston. The $2,500 scholarship is to be used for tuition and fees.
Weston, of Deerfield, is a 2021 graduate of Summerfield High School. She will be taking courses at MCCC, working toward a degree in speech pathology. While attending SHS, Weston was a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council. She has volunteered coaching recreational basketball, volleyball and soccer and also at The Summerfield Daycare, Baycreek Farm and Holiday Camp. Breanna is the daughter of Kevin and Christa Weston.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a graduate from Summerfield High School, Petersburg, MI, have a 2.75 grade point average or higher, must maintain full-time enrollment and be a resident of Monroe County, Michigan.
