The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Monroe Aging Consortium Health Sciences Scholarship to Chase Hill and Jessica Mazur. Each $500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, supplies and books.
Hill, of Carleton, is a 2017 graduate of Airport High School. He is currently in the respiratory therapy program at MCCC and is a member of the Respiratory Therapy Club. Chase is the son of Shanna Koenecke and Michael Hill.
Mazur, of Allen Park, is a 2017 graduate of Allen Park High School, Allen Park, Michigan. She is studying respiratory therapy at MCCC and is a respiratory therapy extern at Henry Ford Hospital Detroit. Jessica is the daughter of Patricia and David Mazur.
To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must be pursuing a health sciences certificate or degree, a resident of the state of Michigan and have a 2.5 grade point average, with the highest preference given to a student with a demonstrated financial need.
