The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded The Mariya Heinzerling Memorial Scholarship, formally the Student Nurses Association Scholarship, to Christina Vail. The $500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.
Vail, of Southgate, is a 1996 graduate of Riverview Community High School, Riverview, Michigan. She is studying nursing at MCCC and is a member of the Student Nurses Association. Christina is the mother to Nicholas and daughter of George and Lynette Vail.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student be enrolled in the registered nursing program or licensed practical nursing certificate program at Monroe County Community College, be a member of the MCCC Student Nurses Association and have a 3.4 grade point average or higher.
