The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the John R. Patterson Memorial Scholarship to Kline Peare. The Patterson Scholarship was established at The Foundation at MCCC by Jefferson High School alumni. The $2,500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books, and fees.
Peare, of Newport, is a 2021 graduate of Jefferson High School. He will be studying business while attending MCCC. While attending JHS, Peare was a member of the varsity football (team captain), varsity basketball and varsity baseball (team captain) teams. He was also a member of the Student Prevention Leadership Team, co-treasurer of the Class of 2021 and secretary of the National Honor Society. Kline is the son of Brett and Brenda Peare.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a United States citizen, attended both their junior and senior years and graduated from Jefferson High School, Monroe, Michigan, and have a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
