The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Irma A. (McLaughlin) McIntyre Memorial Endowed Agriculture Scholarship to Chandra Whorton. The $950 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, supplies and books.
Whorton, of Monroe, is a 2002 graduate of Community High School, Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is studying agriculture technology at MCCC. Chandra’s partner is Rebecca.
To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must be enrolled in the agriculture program at MCCC, be at least a part-time student, be a resident of Monroe County, Michigan and demonstrate financial need.
