THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE HERB KEHRL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Ackerman PhotoThe Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Herb Kehrl Memorial Scholarship to Rachel Ackerman. The $250 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.

Ackerman, of Lambertville, is a 2020 graduate of Bedford Senior High School. She will be studying education at MCCC.  Ackerman is a member of the College/Community Symphony Band at MCCC.  Rachel is the daughter of Regina and Lawrence Ackerman.

The Herb Kehrl Memorial Scholarship was established in remembrance of Herb Kehrl. It is awarded to students majoring in political science, history, or education, who are enrolled at least part-time and are a resident of Monroe County, preferably within Michigan’s 56th House of Representatives District.
