The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Hallie H. Billmire scholarship to Andrew Bucher. The $1,600 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies and other education expenses.
Bucher, of Petersburg, is a 2020 graduate of Summerfield High School. He is studying business at MCCC. Bucher has volunteered in his community helping with the annual 5K Rose Run, coached fifth and sixth grade boys basketball and coached junior high football. Andrew is the son of Jodi and Michael Bucher.
