The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Gwendolyn M. Jacob Memorial Scholarship to Kayla Parrish. The $1,300 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Parrish, of Monroe, is a 2007 graduate of Monroe High School. She is pursuing a nursing degree at MCCC. Kayla is the wife to Alexander Parrish and daughter to Douglas and Corinne Diroff.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must have graduated from Monroe High School, be enrolled in a transfer curriculum at MCCC, have a grade point average of 2.5 or above and maintain a full-time enrollment status of 12 credit hours.
