The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the George Rhodes Scholarship to Hunter Winters. The $250 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, supplies and books.
Winters, of Temperance, is a 2018 graduate of Bedford Senior High School. He is studying nursing at MCCC and is a member of the Student Nurses Association. Hunter is the husband to Bethany Winters and son to Wendy and Ronald Winters.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must maintain part-time enrollment (enrolled in six credit hours) during the scholarship year and maintain a 3.0 grade point average. The student must have worked at least one semester in a tutoring program recognized by the Student Success Center (formerly Learning Assistance Lab) or an academic division at MCCC and remain active in the tutoring program during the scholarship year.
