The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Edward and Henrietta Knabusch Trust Memorial Scholarship to Kasidy Brooks, Autumn Dunn, Rylie Etts, Gauge Feaganes and Dalton Holycross. Each $2,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, academic supplies and books.
Brooks, of Lambertville, is a 2019 graduate of WAY Michigan. She is studying criminal justice at MCCC. Kasidy is the daughter of Linda and Randall Brooks.
Dunn, of Monroe, is a 2017 graduate of Horseshoe Bend High School, Bend, Idaho. She will be studying graphic design at MCCC. While in high school, she was active as a girl scout and volunteered at her church. She is the daughter of Jay and Robin Dunn and her significant other is Joseph Sharrow.
Etts, of Temperance, is a 2019 graduate of Bedford Senior High School. Her education goal is to complete her associate of science degree at MCCC and then earn her bachelor’s degree in social work. Rylie is the daughter of Troy and Lea Etts.
Feaganes, of Monroe, is a 2021 graduate of Jefferson High School. He is studying mechanical engineering at MCCC. Gauge is the son of Jim and Hollie Feaganes.
Holycross, of Ida, is a 2021 graduate of Ida High School. He will be studying business at MCCC. Dalton is involved with his youth group at Lambertville United Methodist Church. Dalton is the son of Vicki and Brian Holycross.
To be eligible for this scholarship a student must be have at least a 2.5 GPA, demonstrate involvement in community service and must maintain at least part-time enrollment at MCCC. Preference is given to a Monroe County, Michigan, resident.
