The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the David L. and Harriet Williams McIntyre Memorial Scholarship to Madyson Drouillard. The $2,950 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Drouillard, of La Salle, is a 2020 Monroe High School graduate. She is pursuing an associate degree while attending MCCC so she can work with those who have physical and intellectual disabilities. She was a mentor for Positive Peer Influence and Student Prevention Leadership during high school. Drouillard is also a youth leader at Elevate Church. Madyson is the daughter of Leanda and Jason Drouillard.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a Monroe High School graduate, enrolled in a transfer curriculum and maintain a full-time enrollment status of at least 12 credit hours. To continue to receive this scholarship, the recipient must demonstrate continuing academic achievement of at least a 2.5 grade point average.
