The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Brian Rothman Memorial Scholarship to Billy Williams. The $850 scholarship is to be used for tuition and fees.
Williams, of Monroe, is a 2019 graduate of Monroe High School. He is pursuing a degree in computer science at MCCC. Williams has volunteered working with Positive Peer Influence and D.A.R.E. to raise awareness of drinking and driving. Billy is the son of Angela Williams.
To be eligible for this scholarship a student must be a MCCC student, pursuing a degree in computer information systems and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Preference is given to Monroe High School graduates.
