The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Former Bedford Rotarians and Friends Scholarship to Ava Manard. The $1,150 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.
Manard, of Lambertville, is a 2021 graduate of Bedford Senior High School. She is studying education at MCCC. At BHS, Manard was involved in the All Mules Matter Club and has also volunteered at the Indian Creek Zoo. Ava is the daughter of Bridget and Jason Manard.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a graduate of Bedford High School, first year student at MCCC, maintain fulltime enrollment while at MCCC, have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher, present financial need, past or present community or public service and must perform 20 hours of community or public service during the scholarship year.
