The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the FEDCO Science and Technology Scholarship to John Robbins. The $2,050 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.
Robbins, of Monroe, is a 1993 graduate of Taylor Truman High School. He plans to finish his associate of applied science degree at MCCC and then transfer to a four-year school. John is the son of John and Rita Robbins.
To be eligible for this scholarship, the recipient must be enrolled in one of the following programs: Mechanical Design Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Manufacturing Technology at MCCC, must have a 2.5 grade point average or higher and be a Monroe County, Michigan, resident. Preference will be given to a Jefferson High School graduate that demonstrates financial need.
