The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the 
William J. and Jennie E. Bacarella Scholarship to Pamela Straka. The $1,100 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Straka of Monroe is a 2009 graduate of Monroe High School. She is studying accounting while attending MCCC. She is the daughter of Sharon and Paul Knezevich and Anthony Straka.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be majoring in a business-related curriculum, maintain part-time enrollment status of six credit hours or more, and be a resident of Monroe County, Michigan. In addition, the donor prefers non-traditional students and graduates of St. Mary Catholic Central High School.
