The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the William J. and Hildreth C. Braunlich Memorial Scholarship to Lila Strychar. The $2,750 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Strychar of Monroe is a 2020 graduate of St. Mary Catholic Central High School. She will be studying respiratory therapy at MCCC. While attending SMCC, she was a member of the Student Prevention Leadership Team and attended a service trip in Harlan, Kentucky. Lila is the daughter of Heather Lake-Strychar and Max Strychar.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must have graduated from SMCC High School, have shown academic achievement, participated in student activities or community service and demonstrate financial need.
