The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Student Government Aim & Achievement Scholarship to Kayla Mercure. The $500 scholarship is for tuition, books and fees.
Mercure of Rockwood is a 2018 graduate of Carlson High School. She is studying nursing while attending MCCC. Mercure is currently secretary of MCCC’s Student Government, vice president of Phi Theta Kappa and Student Ambassadors Club member. She is the daughter of Kevin Mercure and Joanna Gorney.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be an active member of the MCCC Student Government and remain active during the term of the scholarship, as well as maintain a grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
