The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Milton G. Russell Memorial Scholarship to Brendan Montri. The scholarship of $950 is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Montri of Monroe is a 2020 graduate of Monroe High School. He is pursuing an associate degree at MCCC and is undecided about his major. He was a member of the National Honor Society at MHS and was a member on the cross country and track teams. He is the son of Julie Montri and Ryan and Erin Montri.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a resident of Monroe County for a minimum of five years before they receive the scholarship, must maintain three-quarter time enrollment status of nine credit hours or more and demonstrate financial need. Priority will be given to applicants with a history of Attention Deficit Disorder.
