The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded The Midway Products – Lyman E. Hoyt Memorial Scholarship to Caleb Parrott. The $1,500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Parrott of Monroe is a 2019 graduate of Monroe High School. He is currently studying mechanical engineering while attending MCCC. Justin is the son of David and Kristy and brother to David and Noah.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be enrolled in one of the following programs at MCCC: Automotive Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design Technology, Welding Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology or Manufacturing Technology. In addition, the student must maintain full-time enrollment status of 12 credit hours or more, must have and maintain a 2.5 grade point average or higher during their scholarship year and must demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to a Monroe County resident or a child of a Midway Products, Inc. employee.
