The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Gwendolyn M. Jacob Memorial Scholarship to Nicholas Janssens. The scholarship of $1,000 is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Janssens of Monroe is a 2019 Monroe High School graduate. He is studying mechanical engineering while attending MCCC. Janssens volunteered at Monroe County Intermediate School District helping students practice for a musical performance. Nicholas is the son of Jay and Kellie Janssens.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must have graduated from Monroe High School, be enrolled in a transfer curriculum at MCCC, have a grade point average of 2.5 or above and maintain a full-time enrollment status of 12 credit hours.
