The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the George Rhodes Scholarship to Brittany Hanner. The $250 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, supplies and books.
Hanner of Taylor is a 2010 high school graduate. She will be graduating from MCCC after the fall 2020 semester with an Associate of Arts degree. Hanner is a Writing Fellow and student tutor in the Learning Assistant Lab. She is the wife to Joshua Massengale, mother to Landon Hanner and daughter of Christopher Hanner and the late Cina Hanner.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must maintain part-time enrollment (enrolled in six credit hours) during the scholarship year and maintain a 3.0 grade point average. The student must have worked at least one semester in a tutoring program recognized by the Student Success Center (formerly Learning Assistance Lab) or an academic division at MCCC and remain active in the tutoring program during the scholarship year.
