The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Education Plus Credit Union Scholarship to Heather Cordell. The $1,050 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.
Cordell of Monroe is a 2014 graduate of Monroe High School. She is studying early childhood development while attending MCCC. While attending MHS, she was a member of the National Honor Society, choir and Upward Bound program.
To be eligible for this scholarship, the recipient must be a member of the Directions Credit Union, must maintain part-time enrollment status, defined as six credit hours or more, and may be either a first or second year student.
