The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the David L. McIntyre Memorial Scholarship to Troy Vajcner of Monroe. The $2,800 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Vajcner of Monroe is a 2020 Monroe High School graduate. He will be pursuing an associate degree while attending MCCC and then transferring to a four-year university to pursue his goal of becoming a therapist. He was a member of the National Honor Society and is a current member of Younglife. Vajcner participated in wrestling and football during high school. He is the son of Theodore and Michelle Vajcner.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a Monroe High School graduate, enrolled in a transfer curriculum and maintain a full-time enrollment status of at least 12 credit hours. To continue to receive this scholarship, the recipient must demonstrate continuing academic achievement of at least a 2.5 grade point average.
