The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Selma Rankins Memorial Scholarship to Cheyenne Bolton. The $800 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.
Bolton of Monroe is a 2018 graduate of Monroe High School. She is studying early childhood education while attending MCCC. Bolton has participated with Adopt-A-Family and volunteered with the Center for Independent Living. Cheyenne is the daughter of Tammy and Skip Bolton.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be pursuing a career in education, demonstrate financial need, a resident of Monroe County, Michigan, a United States citizen and a graduate of a Monroe County, Michigan, high school. Preference may be given to a Monroe High School graduate who must have and maintain a 2.5 grade point average.
