The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the FEDCO Science and Technology Scholarship to Gregory Bruck and Joshua Gorowski. Each $1,175 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.
Bruck of Erie is a 2018 homeschooled graduate. Bruck is currently in the welding program at MCCC. He is involved in Carleton Community Baptist Church and was a whitewater guide in West Virginia. His parents are William and Natalie Bruck and he is one of nine children.
Gorowski of Ida is a 2016 graduate of Ida High School. Gorowski is studying nuclear engineering technology while attending MCCC. He has volunteered in a soup kitchen, Christmas in Ida and is a 4H member raising pigs for eight years. Joshua is the son of Shelly and Rick Gorowski.
To be eligible for this scholarship, the recipient must be enrolled in one of the following programs: Industrial Management Technology, Mechanical Design Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Product and Process Technology at MCCC, must have a 2.5 grade point average or higher and be a Monroe County, Michigan resident. Preference will be given to a Jefferson High School graduate and demonstrates financial need.
