The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Richard and Marjorie Sieb Scholarship to Daniel Dixon. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Dixon of Monroe is a 1995 graduate of Harry S. Truman High School, Taylor, Michigan. He is studying nursing while attending MCCC. He volunteers assisting the elderly such as grocery shopping, housekeeping and general tasks. He is the husband of Della Dixon and father to Breanna Crum.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a Monroe County resident, a U.S. citizen and maintain at least part-time enrollment status of six credit hours or more. In addition, the donor prefers to assist a student returning to school after a period of other activities and demonstrates financial need.
