The Foundation At MCCC Awards The Roof Family Foundation Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Roof Family Scholarship to Gabrielle Hurley and Zachary Prange. Each $7,500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.

Hurley of Dundee is a 2019 graduate of Dundee High School. She is studying nursing while attending MCCC. Hurley volunteers for the Community Christmas event. She has received several athletic awards and Future Farmers of America awards while attending high school. Hurley is the daughter of Robert and Nicole Hurley and sister to Dylan Hurley.

Prange of Lambertville is a 2019 Bedford Senior High School graduate. He is studying welding technology while attending MCCC. Prange has volunteered as a team coach for the Special Olympics bowling team. He is the son of Steven and Tricia Prange.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must enroll in an occupational program of study with the intent to complete a program study at MCCC and immediately enter the workforce, must be a full-time student defined as twelve (12) billable contact hours or more, must be a Monroe County, Michigan, resident, graduate from a Monroe County, Michigan, high school and must have a GPA 2.8 or higher. Preference is be given to students graduating from Dundee Community Schools.
