MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Noel H. and Elizabeth R. Dentner Scholarship to Amber Smith. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition and fees.
Smith of Petersburg is a 2019 graduate of Summerfield High School. She will be pursuing a criminal justice degree while attending MCCC. Smith was a member of the Student Prevention Leadership Team and National Honor Society while attending SHS. Amber is the daughter of Wendy and Robert Smith.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a graduate from Summerfield High School, Petersburg, MI, have a 2.75 grade point average or higher, must maintain full-time enrollment and be a Monroe County, Michigan, resident.
