UPDATED on Dec. 13: The gift to be announced on Monday, Dec. 16 will now be the largest individual gift in the history of Monroe County Community College. Originally, the gift was to be $650,000. That gift amount has been increased by the donor to $1.1 million.

Local businessman and philanthropist Gary Vajcner will make the largest donation by an individual to Monroe County Community College in its 55-year history – $1.1 million. MCCC officials will detail how the funds will be used, as well as announce the naming of two facility spaces in recognition of the gift.
