The Foundation At MCCC Awards The Mccc Alumni Family Member Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the MCCC Alumni Family Member Scholarship to Cameron Bartley, Trey Henderson and Nathan Nisley. Each $2,500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books, fees and essential supplies.

Bartley of Monroe is a 2018 homeschool graduate. He plans to earn an associate degree from MCCC, transfer to the University of Michigan to pursue a law degree and apply to the U of M Navy Reserves Officer Training Corps (NROTC). Bartley is involved with several music festivals and other music related events in the county. He is the son of Leon and Jennifer Bartley.

Henderson of Monroe is a 2019 graduate of Monroe High School. He will be pursuing an associate degree in chemistry at MCCC, before transferring to a four- year university. Trey is the son of Keith and Lisa Henderson.

Nisley of Carleton is a 2018 homeschool graduate. He is studying construction management technology while attending MCCC. He is the son of Terry and Michelle Nisley.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be Monroe County resident, an U.S. citizen, a Monroe County high school graduate, and an immediate relative (child or spouse) of an MCCC graduate or student who earned 24 or more credits at MCCC. Additionally, a student must maintain full-time enrollment status of 12 credit hours or more. Special consideration will be given to a relative of an MCCC Alumni Association member in good standing.
