The Foundation At MCCC Awards Marilyn Schroeder Memorial Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Marilyn Schroeder Memorial Scholarship to Andrea Rister. The $1,100 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.

Rister of Flat Rock is a 1997 graduate of Brethren High School. She is studying nursing while attending MCCC. Rister is a member of the Student Nurses Association and is an active volunteer at her church. Andrea is the wife to Jimmy Rister and mother to Kalyn, Khloe and Kenzie.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be enrolled in a health occupation program or a health-related science curriculum, must have earned 30 credit hours or more toward their degree, must maintain a full-time enrollment status of 12 credit hours or more, must have a 2.8 grade point average or higher and must maintain active membership in a recognized college organization or activity during the scholarship year.
