The Foundation At MCCC Awards The Joyce Hoagland Eby Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Joyce Hoagland Eby Scholarship to Mathieu Maguire and Ashlea Rudolph. The $1,650 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.

Maguire of Trenton is a 2018 graduate of Trenton High School. He plans to pursue an associate of fine arts degree while attending MCCC and then transferring to Northern Michigan University earning a degree in computer art and illustration. Maguire has volunteered cleaning up Lake Erie Metroparks and volunteers at his church. Mathieu is the son of Wayne and Sonia Maguire.

Rudolph of Brownstown is a 2017 graduate of Woodhaven High School. She is studying business management while attending MCCC. Rudolph volunteers at her church working with children and volunteers for a tax firm. She has received several awards which include an attendance award, GPA award, DECA award, and Favorite Teacher Award from her church daycare. Ashlea is the daughter of Kim Johnson and Don Rudolph.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must show financial need and must maintain nine (9) credit hours or more per semester and have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
