MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the John and Violet Mueller Scholarship to Kristina Barron and James DelVero. Each $1,575 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.
Barron of Monroe is a 2010 graduate of Jefferson High School. She will be studying respiratory therapy while attending MCCC.
DelVero of Carleton is a 2002 Jefferson High School graduate. He is studying nursing while attending MCCC. He was elected class representative of the nursing program. James is the husband to Jennifer and father to Dalton, Letty and Emmet.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a graduate of Jefferson High School and a resident of Monroe County, Mich. In addition, student must maintain at least part-time enrollment of six credit hours or more, and must have and maintain a grade point average of 2.5 or higher during their scholarship year.
