MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Joanne D. Smith Memorial Scholarship to Bailey Ridner. The $1,200 scholarship is to cover costs of tuition, book and fees.
Ridner of Ida is a 2015 graduate of Ida High School. She is studying nursing while attending MCCC and is a member of the Student Nurses Association. Ridner is the daughter of Scott and Kris Ridner.
To be eligible for this scholarship a student must be enrolled in a transfer program, maintain full-time student enrollment status of twelve credit hours, and a member of the College/Community Band or Agora Chorale during the scholarship year. Also, the student must be a U.S. Citizen and a Monroe County resident. Preference will be given to an Ida High School graduate and someone who demonstrates financial need.
