MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Irv Locketz Culinary Scholarship to Brendan Liddy. The $2,500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees books and supplies.
Liddy of Newport is a 2018 graduate of Airport High School. He is studying culinary skills and management while attending MCCC. Liddy is a member of Gender and Sexuality Alliance at MCCC. Brendan is the son of Lesa Liddy.
To be eligible for this scholarship a student must enrolled and accepted in the culinary skills and management program at MCCC, must submit a one page essay on why the applicant should be selected to receive the scholarship, must be enrolled in a minimum of eight credit hours per semester in the fall and winter. Financial need may be considered.
