MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College has scheduled auditions for its fall play, “A Christmas Carol,” from the novel by Charles Dickens, Angie Lai, director of the play and adjunct instructor of humanities, has announced.
The auditions will take place in the La-Z-Boy Center, Meyer Theater, on September 10 and September 12 from 7-10 p.m. each evening. The La-Z-Boy Center is located at 1555 S. Raisinville Rd. in Monroe.
The play is an adaptation of the classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, a coldhearted, lonely miser, and the arrival of three ghostly visitors one Christmas Eve, Lai said.
No experience is necessary; the audition will consist of reading from the script. Script cuttings are on reserve in the MCCC Library through Sept. 12.
Performances will take place Nov. 22-24 in the Little Theater, which is located in the lower level of the Campbell Learning Resources Center.
Please RSVP for an audition by emailing Lai at alai@monroeccc.edu.
