The One Book, One Community of Monroe County Committee will unveil the 2019 book selection for this spring’s community read during a “reveal” event at the Bedford Branch Library on Thursday, September 27 at 6:30 p.m.
The event is open to the public. Bedford Branch Library is located at 8575 Jackman Rd. in Temperance.
The event will include light refreshments; guests will be able to pick up a discussion guide, as well as learn how to become a Friend of the One Book, One Community project to promote the joy of reading.
One Book, One Community of Monroe County, modeled after a program developed by the American Library Association, promotes the value of reading by recommending a compelling book that links community members in a common conversation through readings, group discussions, programs and other events.
The reveal event is co-sponsored by Monroe County Community College and the Monroe County Library System.
