The Foundation at MCCC Awards the Ray L. Kessler Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation Monroe County Community College has awarded the Ray L. Kessler Scholarship to Courtney Bannon, Brianna Daniels, and Carrie Reinhardt. The Kessler Scholarship was established at The Foundation at MCCC by Jefferson High School alumni to honor former longtime principal Ray Kessler. The scholarship will be available to the recipient for up to three years, providing funds are available. The $2,500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books, and fees.

Bannon of Newport is a 2018 graduate of Jefferson High School. Bannon plans to acquire an Associate Degree at MCCC. Bannon is a member of Jefferson High School’s student council. She is the daughter of Gina and Larry Bannon.

Daniels of Monroe is a 2018 graduate of Jefferson High School. Daniels plans to acquire an Associate of Science degree while attending MCCC.

Reinhardt of Monroe is a 2018 graduate of Jefferson High School. Reinhardt will be studying early childhood education while attending MCCC. Carrie is the daughter of Thomas and Julia Reinhardt.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a United States citizen, attended both their junior and senior year, and a graduate of, Jefferson High School, Monroe, Michigan, and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
