Monroe, Mich. --- The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Ralph R. Mahalak Memorial Scholarship to Zachary Albright and Shawna Daniels. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, book, fees, and supplies.
Albright of Monroe is a 2016 Monroe Middle College graduate. Albright will be studying automotive service technology while attending MCCC. He is the son of Jill and Tracy Stansberry.
Daniels of Monroe is a 2001 graduate of Romulus High School. Daniels is pursuing a liberal arts degree while attending MCCC and hopes to later transfer to a four year university to study automotive engineering. Shawna is the wife of Steven and mother of Jesse, Corey, Marica, and Ashlei Daniels.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a second-year student pursuing an associate of applied science degree with a specialization in automotive service technology. Must be a Monroe County, Michigan resident, maintain a minimum of a 2.5 GPA, and part-time student at MCCC during the scholarship year.
