MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the JoAnn Naida LPN to RN Nursing Scholarship to Dawn Lambert and Yolanda Sanchez. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.
Lambert of Monroe is a 1984 graduate of Monroe High School. Lambert has previously earned a LPN certification from the Professional Skills Institute. Lambert will be studying nursing while attending MCCC.
Sanchez of Monroe and has previously earned a LPN certificate from the Professional Skill Institute of Ohio. She volunteers at God Works soup kitchen. She is the daughter of Bernardo Sanchez and Lawanna Dean.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a second year nursing student enrolled in the Registered Nursing Program, a Monroe County resident and have a 3.3 GPA or higher.
