The Foundation at MCCC Awards the Irv Locketz Culinary Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Irv Locketz Culinary Scholarship to Carl Petitt. The $2,500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees books and supplies.

Petitt of Trenton is a 2018 graduate of Carlson High School. Petitt will be studying culinary skills and management while attending MCCC. Petitt is a member of Video Game Design Club and has previously helped run a camp for the Tang Soo Do Karate program. Carl is the son of Diana and Phil Petitt.

To be eligible for this scholarship a student must enrolled and accepted in the Culinary Skills and Management program at MCCC, must submit a one page essay on why the applicant should be selected to receive the scholarship, must be enrolled in a minimum of eight (8) credit hours per semester in the fall and winter. Financial need may be considered.
