MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Gwendolyn M. Jacob Memorial Scholarship to Olivia Salenbien. The scholarship of $900 is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Salenbien of Monroe is a 2017 Monroe High School graduate. Salenbien is studying nursing while attending MCCC. In 2017, Salenbien was awarded the Outstanding Citizen Award from the state of Michigan. Olivia is the daughter of Tim and Leslie Salenbien.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must have graduated from Monroe High School, enrolled in a transfer curriculum at MCCC, have a GPA of 2.5 or above and maintain a full-time enrollment status of twelve (12) credit hours.
