MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Guire Scholarship to Anna DeClercq, of Carleton. The $2,150 scholarship is to be used for tuition.
DeClercq of Carleton is a 2017 graduate of Airport High School. DeClercq will be pursing an associate’s of science while attending MCCC. After achieving her associate’s degree, Anna plans to transfer to Eastern Michigan University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in science, focusing on biology. Anna is the daughter of Bob and Lori DeClercq.
The Guire scholarship was established by the Iva Mennig Trust to assist with tuition payment for students majoring in math or science who have financial need and have shown academic excellence.
