MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Former Bedford Rotarians and Friends Scholarship Alexandra Rimmer. The $1,050 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.
Rimmer of Temperance is a 2018 graduate of Bedford High School. Rimmer will be studying nursing while attending MCCC before transferring to Spring Arbor University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Rimmer is a member of DECA, Vice President of Bedford High School Student Council and treasurer of National Honors Society. Alexandra is the daughter of Roman and Shelly Rimmer.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a current graduate of Bedford High School, first year student at MCCC, maintain fulltime enrollment while at MCCC, have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, present financial need, past or present community or public service and they must perform 20 hours of community or public service during the scholarship year.
