MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the David L. McIntyre Memorial Scholarship to Dalton Alcala, of Monroe. The $2,600 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books, and fees.
Alcala of Monroe is a 2018 Monroe High School graduate. Alcala will be studying nursing while attending MCCC. After completing MCCC’s two year nursing program, Alcala plans to transfer to the University of Toledo to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Science of Nursing. Dalton is the son of Curtis and Millie Alcala.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a Monroe High School graduate, enrolled in a transfer curriculum and maintain a full-time enrollment status of at least 12 credit hours. To continue to receive this scholarship, the recipient must demonstrate continuing academic achievement of at least a 2.5 grade point average.
