MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Sonya Kay Brett Business and Computer Information Systems Endowed Memorial Scholarship to Matthew Brown and Steven Prohaska. The $1,400 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.
Brown of Temperance is a recent graduate of Bedford High School. Brown is studying cyber security and information while attending MCCC. Matthew is the son of Susan and Rolland Brown.
Prohaska of South Rockwood is a 2015 graduate of St. Mary Catholic Central. Prohaska is studying accounting while attending MCCC. Steven is the son of Bridget and John Prohaska.
To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must be enrolled in either a Business or Computer Information Systems Program, have completed 24 credit hours or more and have a GPA of 2.8 or above. The applicant must be a resident of Monroe County and a U.S. Citizen. Also, the student must maintain full-time student status during the scholarship year which is defined as twelve (12) credit hours.
