MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Deborah L. Beagle Memorial Accounting Scholarship to Elizabeth Lapp. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Lapp of Monroe is a 2007 graduate of Monroe High School. Lapp is studying accounting while attending MCCC. After achieving her associate’s degree in accounting, Lapp plans to transfer to Eastern Michigan University. Elizabeth is the daughter of Amy and Charles Downer.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a non-traditional student pursuing a degree in accounting, at least a three-quarter-time student at MCCC and have a 2.5 GPA or higher.
